    BACKGROUND
This data report provides an overview of the progress and execution of solutions in a Promise Neighborhood- funded place-based initiative that recently completed four years of implementation. The results below focus on data collected from program inception in 2017 through 2020. However, 2020 was an anomaly year, with many mitigation measures taken to slow the spread of a new virus, hindering data collection. This report shares progress by federal indicators. It contextualizes the work with background information and provides a high-level overview of the cradle-to- career solutions.
Mandated under the 1993 Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), grantees report data on fifteen “GPRA Indicators.” These range from age-appropriate functioning of children 0 – 5 years old to students’ academic performance, attendance, college readiness, entry and completion, student mobility, physical well-being, reading engagements,
and internet accessibility.
“Since 2017, the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indian Tribe has invested nearly $10 million (USDE grant funds) to improve the developmental and academic outcomes of children living in the
Corning - Rancho Tehama footprint.
